Film Submissions for 2012: General Rules



Film Length: Any films more than 30 minutes is considered as Feature Film Submission.
Categories: Best Feature, Best Shorts, Best Innovations and Entrepreneurship, Best Vision of the Future, Best Green Earth, Best Animation, Best Music,Best Documentary, Best Commercial Spot(new), Best Director, Editor, Actor, Actress, Cameraman.

We invite you to join the 'Green Earth' initiative  So, Send your high quality video files via'WWW.YOUSENDIT.COM' , (OR) Upload to your ftp server/video websites like Vimeo , protect with password and email us the Video info. (OR)  send us a dvd if you can not use internet.
	Premier and Screening  opportunities at Silicon Valley Film Festival: We would like to give all filmmakers an opportunity to screen their work in front of our Festival  audience and great publicity, with  a nominal fee . Premier (or screen) your Independent Movies at our Fetival in the heart of Silicon Valley - the center of Digital Cinema. Please contact us for "out-of-competition" screenings.

Q: Is it a postmarked deadline or received by deadline? A: The submissions deadline is a postmarked by deadline. Q: How would I go about requesting a fee waiver? A: Unfortunately, due to the numerous requests, we are unable to make any adjustments to the fee structure. Q: Should I include anything with the submission? A: Please be sure to label the  DVD or Blue Ray with the title, contact information, Withoutbox tracking number and run time. Q: Do you accept rough cuts/work-in-progress? A: Yes, we do consider rough cuts and works-in-progress. Please note in the submission cover letter what elements are still being worked on. Q: Can I get confirmation that you received my submission copy? A: Yes, please send a self-addressed stamped postcard if you like. Soon after we receive your submission copy, submission details and payment, your film status on Withoutabox will be changed or you will receive an email. Q: When and how will filmmakers be notified of their acceptance? A: Our final decisions will be announced on the approximate Notification Date. All filmmakers will be contacted via email. Q: Can I still submit if my film has distribution or has aired on television? A: Yes. Q: Does my film need to be a World Premiere? A: We prefer your film be a Silicon Valley premiere but not mandatory to be considered. Q: Can I submit more then one film? A: Yes, but each film must be submitted and paid for separately. Q: Do you accept multiple submissions on one DVD or Blue Ray? A: Yes, see above. Q: Do I need to have all my music rights cleared?? A: It is suggested that you retain at least film festival rights for your music.
